Seno Woodland Education Center

WHAT WE DO

Messages We Stress At Seno:

  • We rely on natural resources for survival and quality of life.
  • Natural resources are limited while the demand is increasing.
  • When properly managed, the foreset is resilient and sustainable.
  • Natural resources, worldwide, are interdependent.
  • Forest resources must be managed for multiple uses for the long-term benefit to all.

Student Learning

Students gain awareness of the outdoor world by taking part in hands-on activities as they learn about the national habitats of forest, prairie and wetland. Half and full day programs are tailored to augment classroom curricula.

Educator Training

Educator workshops offer programs, activities and resources from a number of approved curricula to teach forestry and natural resources subjects. We identify methods to take the classroom outside. Seno is a LEAF certified center and can help with both classroom and field experiences.
